What if I can’t complete the steps?
What if I can’t complete the steps?

In order to receive Ontario Works assistance, you must develop an employment plan with your Employment Case Manager that will help you find a job as quickly as possible. This employment plan, or participation agreement, must also outline what steps you will take to find employment. If you are not able to complete any of the steps outlined in your employment plan, you must contact your Employment Case Manager immediately.

If you have a valid reason for not completing the steps outlined in your employment plan, you and your Employment Case Manager will need to update your participation agreement. If you do not have a valid reason for not completing the steps outlined in your employment plan, your eligibility for financial assistance may be affected.
